Abstract
The magnetic properties of the Ce-based ternary silicide Ce2IrSi3 were studied on singlecrystalline specimens at temperatures down to 0.46 K and in magnetic fields up to 70 kOe. The obtained data unambiguously confirmed that the compound orders antiferromagnetically at T N = 1.3 K. Metamagnetic-like phase transition was observed in a field of 5 kOe.
