Abstract
Slow cortical waves were studied in a small group of adult and child Ss. A peculiarity in the brain response under conditions, of uncertainty was noted. Cerebral responses of dyslexics to semantic stimuli differed from those of normal Ss. A reinterpretation of slow positive waves is suggested, and proposals are made for the study of complex brain responses under varying conditions of arousal and set, especially in relation to remedial programs for dyslexic children.
