Abstract
An intraperitoneal dose in the order of 1.0 g/kg was required to eliminate the FR 24 performance of rats; whereas doses higher than 1.5 g/kg were usually required to eliminate barpressing under FI 20-sec or DRL 12-sec schedules. The dose required to eliminate adjunctive drinking was usually less than that required to eliminate barpressing. Efficient DRL performance was dependent upon drinking in the undrugged state but often occurred without drinking after ethanol administration.
