Abstract
This study investigated the unlearning of first list associations as a function of degree of interpolated learning. Ss received either 1, 2, 6, 11, or 21 trials of interpolated learning in the A-B, A-C paradigm. Immediately following IL, retention of A-B associations was measured with a S-R matching test. Unlearning was found to increase with increasing IL trials.
