Abstract

The paper presents the numerical simulation results of heat transfer and flow in slot channels with surface intensifiers of new shape—a dimple shaped as a boomerang or an arc. The comparative analysis of thermal and hydraulic performance of an intensifier under consideration is carried out for different geometric parameter ratios allowed determining the rational geometric parameters of an intensifier. It is shown that the thermal and hydraulic performance of a considered surface intensifier is high in comparison to that of an oval-trench dimple.
