Abstract

Local resistance coefficients are estimated in order to improve the prediction accuracy of internal ballistics in solid rocket engines in one-dimensional setup for single-perforated axisymmetric grains. The numerical model is verified demonstrating satisfactory agreement between numerical simulation and experimental results. Correlations between loss coefficients and geometric parameters of solid rocket engine duct are obtained. Differences between the calculated local resistance coefficients and their reference values for channels with impermeable walls are demonstrated.
