Abstract
This paper describes a test procedure for determining the load capacity of gas foil bearings. We present a test rig to determine the load capacity for the axial gas foil bearings of large diameter. The results of determining the load capacity for the axial gas foil bearings with an outer diameter of 128 mm and the rotation speed up to 30000 rev/min are given.
