Uniform Approximation of a Deformed Grid

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

A method is proposed for uniform approximation of a deformed grid so as to reduce the influence of distortions due to random and systematic errors in determining the coordinates of the grid points. As an illustration, this method is used to assess the strain in extrusion through a channel whose cross section varies in shape.
