Multilevel Digital Ecosystem for Manufacturing Enterprises: Attracting Venture Capital

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

The availability of direct investments and venture capital largely determines the number of innovative projects, not only in terms of financial resources but also by supporting the infrastructure required for project success. In the present work, the effective development of a multilevel investment system based on venture capital for manufacturers of industrial machinery within the digital economy is outlined, on the basis of theoretical and methodological principles. In the economic realm, it seems that digitization in Russia depends on the creation of a system capable of supporting projects dependent on venture capital, including projects for the integration of end-to-end technologies within the enterprise. That would improve the prospect for attracting financial resources. A multilevel model of a digital ecosystem may be based on the components of a triple cognition model. A multivariant matrix of development scenarios is proposed for Russia’s investment market, drawing on both direct investments and venture funds. The proposed multicriterial optimization model permits identification of a set of targets for key performance indicators (KPI) appropriate to such investments.
