Accuracy of Worm Gear–Worm Engagement in Gearboxes

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

The accuracy of worm gear–worm engagement in a single-stage gearbox is considered, for medium-scale production. Dimensional chains determining the accuracy of worm gear–worm engagement are identified for such gearboxes. Methods of ensuring the required accuracy are established for each dimensional chain in medium-scale production.
