Dimensional Structure and Precision in the Machining of Housing Components

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

Aspects of the dimensional structure and machining precision are considered. The method employed is analysis of the design, technological, and monitoring dimensions. The machining of components is considered on the basis of dimensional analysis. As an example, a gearbox housing is chosen; its machining by the simple operation categorized as 005 Vertical Milling is discussed.
