Hole Accuracy in Reaming

Abstract

Analytical formulas are derived for the discrepancy in hole diameter on reaming due to the misalignment of the reaming and rotating axes, with rigid attachment of the reamer to the machine tool. These formulas may be used to optimize the input parameters in reaming and hence to obtain accurate holes.
