Tribological Self-Organization in the Hybrid Hole Burnishing of Aluminum Alloy Workpieces

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

Self-organization of machined surfaces is investigated, for the hybrid burnishing of holes in D1T aluminum alloy workpieces by means of a tool with regular working-surface microgeometry, when using metal-cladding lubricant. Such machining ensures wear-free conditions in the case of Garkunov–Kragelsky friction.
