Abstract
Progress in heavy industry depends on scaling up current technology, with increase in complexity, labor intensity, and product costs. Gears and worm gears in the drive units of heavy machinery are characterized by large mass and size and relatively poor performance. To improve product quality in heavy industry, we need to develop new approaches with better economic and engineering indices.
