Modification of Working Fluids with Fine Carbon Particles in Metal Cutting

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

The addition of fine carbon particles to working fluids of water–oil emulsion type is considered as a means of decreasing the final surface roughness in cutting. The effect of reducing the size of the oil droplets is also investigated. The interaction of the fine components within the working fluid is studied.
