Abstract
The influence of the setup parameters in the lapping of external cylindrical precision surfaces by rolling is compared. With 180° rotation of the parts in the separator slots and halving of the machining time, the initial geometric error of the slides is ensured, and the required shape is consistently obtained, to within 0.002 mm.
