Reducing Buildup on Steel Castings by Adding Industrial Waste to the Casting Sand

Abstract

Means of improving the prevention of hot buildup on castings are of great interest. To that end, the introduction of industrial waste in the casting sand is proposed. On the basis of industrial tests, the properties of such sands are discussed. The quality of industrial samples is analyzed.
