Nondestructive Strength Monitoring of Load-Limiting Safety Components

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

A nondestructive method of determining the shear strength is outlined. This method is based on the laws describing elastoplastic indenter introduction. Experiments confirm the practical applicability of the method. It is intended for use with load-limiting safety devices.
