Imbalance and Dynamics of a Disk Rotor

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

Existing approaches to modeling rotor dynamics in a balanced machine tool are inapplicable to the optimal dynamic balancing of disk rotors. New models of rotor imbalance and dynamics are proposed, permitting reliable and accurate identification of the imbalance of such rotors by a verifiable method. These models provide the theoretical basis for the creation of a new computerized dynamic-balancing technology applicable to disk rotors.
