Lean Production at High-Tech Enterprises

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

Problems in integrating lean production at Russian high-tech enterprises are studied. The problems identified are grouped into two categories: those associated with the introduction of fundamental tools of lean production; and those associated with resistance to the proposed changes. To solve these problems, recommendations that may be adapted to enterprises of different type are outlined. The research is based on various groups of approaches used in product management, lean production, the kaizen concept (continuous improvement), the organization of production management and quality management systems, and elsewhere.
