Dynamic Stabilization in Reaming Internal Surfaces of Welded Components

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

A pipe in an electromagnetic shutoff valve must meet high requirements on its surface roughness Ra (µm) and shape precision (quality classes IT8 and IT9). At the same time, reaming of the product is associated with self-oscillation that impairs the internal surface quality. An antivibrational reaming tool has been developed to address this problem.
