Bench Tests for Chipping Hammers

Abstract

The basic test systems for hand-held impact tools such as chipping hammers are reviewed. The subsequent discussion considers the possibility of developing bench tests for chipping hammers that better reproduce the manual process in terms of the hammer position with respect to the workpiece.
