Abstract
The manufacture of thin-walled narrow pipe from 32NKD Super Invar alloy by drawing is studied. The drawing forces on the mandrel and the pipe blank are determined. The influence of the lubricant on the frictional forces is analyzed. The linear-expansion coefficient of the thin-walled pipe produced by drawing is compared with that of an undeformed sample of 32NKD alloy, as a function of the temperature.
