Component Flexibility and Load Distribution in a Multisatellite Planetary Gear

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

A design is proposed for a multisatellite planetary gear. A method is developed for determining the flexibility of its major components. The influence of the components’ pliability on the load distribution over the power fluxes is analyzed by means of differential equations of the bent satellite axis, taking account of the contact deformation of the components. The nonuniformity of the load distribution over the power fluxes is determined by means of the compatibility equation of the displacements, including the initial misalignment of the gear teeth due to manufacturing errors.
