Abstract
The quantization period of a zero-order hold (extrapolator) may be determined so as to ensure that the precision with which the setting signal is reproduced in a digital control system matches the precision of the analog prototype. The determination of the lowest possible quantization frequency of a zero-order hold corresponding to specified accuracy of signal reproduction is considered. The solution obtained by the frequency method is confirmed by simulation, with geometric verification of the approximation of the part’s actual curvature.
