Abstract
Quantitative activity indices are proposed for economic analysis of industrial enterprises. These indices objectively reflect the performance of an economic system and may be used to analyze the developmental trends in an industrial sector. Attention focuses, in particular, on the profitability of enterprises in different sectors and analysis of the industrial production index in Russia.
