Abstract
Attention focuses here on assessment of the economic efficiency of product modernization in high-tech sectors in the light of technological progress. The utility of strategic-risk analysis is verified in that context. A method is proposed for assessing the effectiveness of product modernization. Tools are developed for determining the strategic risk of product modernization in high-tech sectors.
