Surface Hardening of Frictional Pairs in the Hydropneumatic Units of Gas-Turbine Engines

Abstract

Surface-hardening methods are analyzed. A hybrid method for surface hardening of frictional pairs in pneumohydraulic units improves their performance and reliability. To improve the operational life and reliability of precision pairs, it is expedient to employ electrospark surfacing in combination with diamond smoothing. Hardware and software are proposed for producing regular surface microrelief and for surface reinforcement by a hybrid method.
