Abstract
Designs are proposed for radial and radial–axial (conical) hydrostatic spindle bearings with passive throttle control of fluid injection. The proposed bearings are easy to use, present no computational difficulties, do not require hydraulic adjustment, and offer additional functional capabilities. An optimal design procedure is developed.
