Abstract

Improvement in the vibroacoustic diagnostics of rotors is considered. Sensitive and reliable signs are identified by the analysis of the two-dimensional probability-distribution densities of vibrational amplitudes. That approach permits assessment of the nonlinearity of the dynamic model for a machine regarded as a vibrational system. Diagnostics of the plant compressor conlition illustrates, among other things, the potential for indirect ongoing assessment of repairs.
