  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract—To assess the durability of torsional shafts in the suspension of high-speed caterpillar vehicles on the basis of linear fracture mechanics, a mathematical model of fatigue-crack propagation is developed on the basis of Matlab/Simulink software. The model is verified in outdoor testing.
