Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

The selection of the optimal magnetic system for a quadrupole electromechanical energy converter with highly coercive permanent magnets is considered, in the case of nonsteady operation in generator mode. The type of magnetic system corresponding to different optimality criteria is identified. The eddy-current losses in the highly coercive permanent magnets are analyzed.
