Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

A method is proposed for developing hydrodynamic models of radial bearings, with deformation of the bearing’s supporting surface, when an incompressible electrically conducting lubricant is employed. Analytical expressions are derived for the bearing’s main operational characteristics. The influence of the elastohydrodynamic parameter on the carrying capacity and frictional force is assessed.
