Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

Current cutting standards associated with tool failure and tool efficiency are analyzed. The Taylor power law relating the operating conditions of the tool to the outcome is appraised. The Taylor law is only applicable within a limited range and cannot be used in determining the optimal cutting conditions.
