Abstract
The shaping motions in the drilling of deep holes are considered; attention focuses on simulation in which the dynamic aspects of the cutting process are taken into account. The trajectory of the spindle speed is simulated by means of Matlab software as a function of the parameters of the servo motor and the drilling characteristics. The drilling of metals with constant increase in the drag torque due to chip formation is simulated. An example of a phase trajectory corresponding to the shaping dynamics in the drilling of deep holes with chip formation is presented. The transformation of the phase portraits as a function of the parameters of the servo motor and the drilling characteristics is shown. Recommendations are made regarding the selection of the motor parameters for specific dynamic characteristics of the drilling process, with allowance for the torque due to chip formation.
