Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

A CAE-based method is proposed for calculating the thermal fields in an end mill when machining fluid is supplied to the cutting zone. The method may be used to calculate the thermal fields in practically any blade-based cutting tools. As an example, the thermal field in an end mill is calculated for the machining of VT6 structural titanium alloy.
