Abstract

Resonant diffusion in steel provoked by thermal shocks in the surface layers of thermostable steel after low-temperature saturation with nitrogen and carbon is investigated. In the surface layers of the frictional pair, the resonant processes give rise to structural and phase transformations, with the formation of secondary structures that determine the system’s performance.
