Stress concentration in symmetric two-arm crank with transverse flexure

Abstract

The stress concentration in a plane crank with a filled hole is considered, in the case of transverse flexure. The stress-concentration coefficient is expressed as a function of the tightness (gap), bending torque, transverse force, and relative width of the plate.
