Principles for the adjustment of centerless superfinishing machines

Abstract

Theoretical principles are derived for the adjustment of centerless superfinishing machines, by optimization of the geometry, the kinematic parameters, and forces involved. Models are described, numerical experiments are conducted, and practical recommendations are made regarding the adjustment of the machine tools.
