Low-temperature nitrocementation to improve the life of resurfaced tractor crankshafts

Abstract

The influence of low-temperature nitrocementation of resurfaced crankshafts on the residual stress in the surface layers is studied experimentally. The possibility of improving the fatigue strength by nitro-cementation is demonstrated.
