Eliminating instability due to nonconservative hydrodynamic forces in the system consisting of a flexible rotor and a sealing ring

Abstract

The stability of a moving transcritical rotor with a sealing ring, under the action of hydrodynamic forces in the annular gap between the rotor and ring, is analyzed. The conditions corresponding to stability loss are discussed.
