Ultrasound treatment of heat-resistant materials with compressed-air injection in the cutting zone

Abstract

Tangential ultrasound vibrations of the cutting tool and compressed-air injection into the cutting zone are combined for the machining of heat resistant nickel and titanium alloys, which are of great importance in manufacturing today.
