Precision basing of blanks with holes on cylindrical and truncated pins

Abstract

The main factors influencing the basing precision of blanks with holes on cylindrical and truncated pins are described. Analytic formulas are derived for the basing errors, taking account of the factors individually and as an aggregate. Means of minimizing the probable basing errors are recommended.
