Abstract
Test results for end roughing mills with two types of attachment of the rhombic hard-alloy plates are outlined. The replaceable multifaceted plates are attached by inserting a pin or a screw through the central hole. Comparison of the mills’ performance is based on rotation of the plates relative to the supporting surfaces and also on the magnitude of the chips on the plates. Screw attachment gives the best results.
