Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

Experience with pneumovibrodynamic hardening of plane surfaces is systematized. In such treatment, the pressurized medium is compressed air. Data relating to pneumovibrodynamic hardening as a repair technique are presented; its characteristics are noted. This method is recommended for frictional pairs and for components in which tight sealing of junctions is required, as well as water-tightness of the contacting surfaces.
