Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

A theory is developed for the upsetting of a low-plasticity core within a plastic casing, without compression of the casing. All the formulas required for the successful design of such a process are derived. The accuracy and reliability of the formulas are confirmed by comparison with experimental data.
