Determining the reliability of the cantilever shaft in a conical gear transmission with limited statistical information

Abstract

A method is proposed for estimating the reliability of a shaft with limited information regarding the parameters of the limiting state. It may be used to estimate the reliability in terms of static strength, fatigue strength, and shaft rigidity, so as to ensure safe operation.
