Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

A systematic model is proposed for evaluating the operational reliability of marine diesel engines. In mathematical terms, the model is based on continuous Markov chains. It permits the estimation of the overall reliability of marine diesel engines and individual subsystems, as well as the probability of effective operation of the diesel engines at any time.
