Influence of surface-plastic deformation of a heated metal surface on the quality of the part

Abstract

Experimental data are presented regarding the surface roughness of steel parts knurled by a roller tool, with heating by a gas-burner flame. Roller knurling is combined with cutting of the hot metal.
