Abstract

A theoretical model of the electrohydrodynamic prebreakdown phenomena in a weakly conductive media is proposed. Differential equations and the initial conditions for describing this model are written. The analytical and numerical solutions of these equations are given. The breakdown energy value for the oil in a transformer is calculated.
